That is how much I spent to buy what I will now fondly call my "mouse detail" kit. It included: poison, traps, gloves and most importantly...tongs. I would have paid double for the tongs my friends!
I have now used it twice. I am hoping to never use it again. If anyone would like to borrow my kit please let me know, or I could even help you make your very own!

My Jeep is having a heart transplant. I don't know who died to give her a new heart but they did and she's gettin' it...next week...I hope her new heart isn't rejected by her old body...and I hope whoever lost their heart is in heaven now (junkyard heaven that is!) New hearts are expensive...and so are the doctors who put them in and make sure they work...in case you wondered.

The Value of Court TV

okay...so it seems like there are a ton of those shows where people take each other to court and the judges are either funny or mean or practical or whatever...well...I love watching those shows.
It's like a sick fascination. Who will win? Who will have the right paper work? Who will the judge tell to be quiet? Will the gavel be used? Will Judge Joe Brown ever say anything intelligent? What lesson will this blonde judge attempt to teach me today? I wonder why someone would be that stupid? How would I do in court? Would I appear intelligent? Do I keep good records of what I buy? Do I write stuff down the way I should? What exactly constitutes as a verbal contract? Have I accidentally entered into any verbal contracts and will I eventually end up on this show? So many questions!!! Am I the only one???

and it can't be good is darn right!

yeah...my engine is gone...there's a hole in the engine and it's completely gone. this bites...royally bites...what could I sell? a kidney? my first born? my soul? sheesh...today bites. my camera broke today too, and I spilled my lunch all over my no longer white winter jacket, I need a drink...well, my sister seems to think I do...I think I might agree.
sorry I'm not a positive ray of light to anyone's life today. feel free to pity me.
I'm gonna go work out...who ever thought in a million years that would be the highlight of my day.

my poor Jeepers was towed to the mechanic this morning after she left me horribly stranded yesterday (okay, not horribly but still...)
as I was driving my sisters crappy Jeep this morning, (I guess really mine is the crappy one now isn't it!) leading the tow truck to my people, I couldn't get the Julie Roberts song out of my head...so in tribute to my car problems I will keep her song on my page until I know how bad it truley is!

so we send out birthday cards to every child at church...so every monday I sit and write out tons of cards (just got done with this weeks actually which is why I thought of this). it has been cute to see the kids reactions and to hear the stories of the 2 year olds who carry the cards around for the next week and hug on them and stuff like that...well, this Sunday I walked into one of the classes and this little guy who turned 5 recently was calling out my name "hey pastor Jamie" and when I turned to see what he needed he winked at me and said "thanks for the card"...he winked at me! LOL...I love kids.

so far nothing to freaky has happened to me...

It's freaky friday...wonder how I should freaking celebrate...any freaking good ideas people?

room to wiggle

I was thinking about how in life we tend to make "plans" and when they don't go the way we want we are disappointed and even disillusioned at times...well...maybe if we made "plans" and left some room to wiggle we would like the result better and we would see the beauty in the way things really turned out instead of being disappointed in what didn't. I am going to attempt to leave room to wiggle in the things I plan and hold loosely the things I have now...this also leaves room for God to wiggle :-) teehee...

so the couple from my church who recently got pregnant from Invitro lost the baby. It ended up being a tubal pregnancy so she had to have emergency surgery and they ended up taking out her tubes as well...they only have one try left with invitro and boy are they sad right now, they saw the heart beat before the surgery and they are really torn up about it all...keep them in your prayers and for me too that I would know how best to support them.
also, the recent school shooting in WI was right near where my parents live and they know a few of the students who attend and they are really grieving right now, the loss of the principle as well as the student who died in a car accident the same day. They could use some prayer right now as they and others at the church are talking with and praying for so many people right now who are hurting.
