The flower is the poetry of reproduction. It is an example of the eternal seductiveness of life. ~Jean Giraudoux
I didn't realize that when you had a baby people gave you flowers. I knew when I died I'd probably get some but sadly wouldn't be around to enjoy them :) so i was pleasantly surprised to be blessed with so many lovely bouquets of flowers for this fun occasion. I even told Lance I'd consider having more babies if he promised me tons of flowers :) lol. Yes, I like flowers that much. Of course the enjoyment and memory of all these wonderful flowers will get me through at least a few more years...
So what's the etiquette for flowers...do I send thank you notes? anybody know?

I don't think there needs to be a thankyou for flowers. If there was a gift included w/ the flowers, then yes.
But I wouldn't expect a thankyou for flowers...especially since you just had a baby. You can get away with a lot on that one! :)
Look at the beautiful bouquets! Nice!
As far as a thank you, I wouldn't suggest writing an actual card/note is necessary or expected at all (esp. since - as Ash says - you just gave birth!), but maybe an email or a FB message would be nice, if possible? Just as a quick though thoughtful way to say you got it and love it.
Just my $.02 though! Feel free to ignore! Goodness knows you have a lot on your plate right now. :)
Kwik e-mail is my vote. If you want more flowers acknowledge the ones you got!
This is mom on your computer by the way!
It is good to call and say thanks! If you can, a note of thanks is the best! I love the look on your mom's face when I walk in with flowers for her! She just says, "Oh thank you sweetie!" I love the words. Since I live with her and give her cards and flowers, I know she doesn't need to give back, but I love cards!
