Oh the night time. Misery. Wretchedness. Cold hearted. Bone Chilling. Sleepless. Horrid.
That about sums it up. I think I may have gotten about 2 hrs of sleep...I kept making sure Judah was covered up and trying to find a way to get warm and comfortable at the same time. It so did not happen. Did I mention it was in the 30's?! ahh!
By the time morning rolled around it was a relief. Even though the morning was still cold and not fun quite yet.
I had to spend a few minutes in the car with the heat on to get the chill out of my bones and out of my soul. ha! I was grouchy is what I am saying. It kind of worked.
And a camp fire breakfast helped.
By the time the sun was actually warming things up and the birds started singing, I think I may have even cracked a smile.
Anyhow...it was a great last day.
(I could have lived with out the night!)
Even baby J was a little growlie in the morning...
but he eventually cracked a smile for his Unkie Ira :)
We bundled up in blankets around the morning fire while we had breakfast.
Lance was our camp cook! He did a great job.
Our bellies were full soon and it helped everyone's mood to improve.
It took baby J a while to get happy. haha.
A nice morning walk and we were off!
So much fun at the little park!
Unkie Lance pushed the kiddo's high into the sky!
oh the giggles! it was fabulous!
My husband is a handsome camper...raar.
They had a "sword" fight across the magical bridge...Unkie Lance lost.
Time for some frog fun!
and then washing the frog juice off our hands so we didn't get warts!
the wandering baby. his favorite part of the trip. going wherever!
even though we went to some lengths to keep the hot pans away from little hands,
miss evie ended up burning her little palm on this little pan.
She was a trooper about it though.
The grand finale of a fire! They chopped up whatever they could find!
Here are the things Beck and Ira worked on. A doll and a boat! Pretty cool huh?!
They even painted some rocks for friends.
Ira is a good daddy :)
Time for some flash light fun in the tent!
and some cousin wrestling fun too!
Miss Evie was teaching Judah the ways of the flash light.
Time for some naps! I eventually joined them.
Did I mention I only got 2 hrs sleep in the night?!
What is a camping trip with out an outhouse?! hehe
this picture pretty much sums up how I felt.
As much fun as we had camping, I was excited to sleep in a real bed later that night.
The kiddo's had one last romp in the woods before we packed up and headed home!
the things daddy's will do to get mommy's to give them "the look".
you know what look I speak of I'm sure.
Off on our last walk!
HUGE acorn.
did I mention yet that Judah learned how to say "acorn"...not exactly a word he will use often but still cute that he learned how to say it :)
and here is Unkie Lance pretending to fall off a cliff. He is so dramatic :)
Group shot!
we got a squirrel to take this one for us :)
A little rock skipping is always fun...
trying to teach the little one's how to do it was tricky...
that was a good one!
sad to be done camping but happy we had such a nice time!
I love my brother and his sweet family...next time Ash and Britt will come too :)
we had a blast!
I admit I was happy to see the Arch...almost home and almost time for a real shower...ahhh...
Beck and I debated many times over who was the silliest. I still think it might be me ;)
I must say, camping was quite an adventure and some parts I loved and some parts
I did not love..but I am so glad we went and made so many great memories!
Thanks for "joining" us on our trip via blogland!

Yes! Next time Britt and I will join the antics and you will experience a REAL unhappy camper. I am not a joy...I promise. ;)
I love that rock skipping shot you got. What a good one! You can see every "skip."
Our guys do make very handsome campers...
OK. Evie by the fire with her blanket could not look more like Ashley in the pics from their previous camping exploits. Kills me. And thank you for getting in a nod to the squirrels. With all those acorns, they had to be near. Last, I have never seen a pic of Judah so cranky. He is SO your child...
I think the close-up of your face in the pink hat should be your new Facebook profile picture. Let people see the true [morning] you.
